Crochet Class Series with Nav Atkinson

In this 5-part class series, learn the basics of crochet and make yourself some wearable items! Sign up for any number of classes, saving more as you sign up for more. All materials provided. Class 1 - November 17th

Learn to Crochet
Level - Absolute Beginner
Students will learn the absolute basics of crochet - single crochet, double crochet, slip stitch.
Goal of the Lesson: To make a washcloth or a swatch square. Students who understand faster may go on to make a scarf.
Recommended Yarn: Worsted weight or Bulky weight

Class 2 - November 24th

Learn to Crochet a Basic Hat
Level - Beginner
Students will learn one of two patterns for making a hat, the magic circle method or the row by row method.
Recommended Yarn: Worsted weight or bulky weight yarn. 

Class 3 - December 1st

Learn to Crochet a Snowflake Ornament
Level - Beginner to Intermediate
Students will learn to crochet a doily style snowflake ornament.
New Skills Developed for Students: How to read a pattern graph, crocheting with smaller yarn than normal
Recommended Yarn: Size 2 or 3, fingering and sport weight respectively
Extra materials needed for this lesson: Mod podge or glue to make the snowflakes stiff

Class 4 - December 8th

Learn to Crochet Mittens or Fingerless Gloves
Level - Intermediate
Students will learn how to crochet mittens or fingerless gloves depending on skill level.
New Skills Learned: Increasing and decreasing crochet.
Recommended Yarn: Worsted Weight

Class 5 - December 15th

Learn to Crochet Granny Square Bauble Ornaments
Level - Intermediate
Students will learn how to crochet a granny square bauble ornament.
Recommended Yarn: Worsted Weight
