The burnt edges are singed by Zeus’s lightning bolts. Each poem is separate but they are a pair, just as Zeus and Hera are individuals yet paired together. Zeus and his might and anger affect not only his life, but Hera’s too. With the truck driving through the lightning storm, we bring their story into the modern realm. Is Zeus furiously driving off in his truck, storm clouds above him? Is Hera driving the truck, fleeing his anger? Are they in the truck together, fighting or falling in love, the lightning bolts symbolizing the inherent passion of hate and love?
