Program Overview:
Accessible Arts provides an opportunity for music and arts exploration in a supportive and therapeutic group environment. Group members are encouraged to participate in a variety of activities including singing, movement, dancing, playing instruments, creating, painting, and other arts exploration designed to stimulate the senses, encourage creativity and increase socialization. Music and art therapy programs have a long track record for success in building communication skills, increasing confidence, and improving overall well-being among participants.
Lizzy Davis, MT-BC, is a board-certified music therapist with a passion for supporting children and young adults through music. She earned her degree in Music Therapy from SUNY Fredonia and completed her clinical internship at Piedmont Music Therapy in Charlotte, NC. Lizzy has experience working in school and home-based settings in Buffalo, NY, where she has supported children and young adults with disabilities, using music to enhance learning, communication, and emotional growth.
